2025 Dream Cruise

There’s no place like Woodward Ave. on a summer Saturday — and August 15, 2025, proved it once again! The SPE Automotive Division and SPE Detroit Section turned up the heat at this year’s legendary Woodward Dream Cruise, hosting an unforgettable day of horsepower, chrome, and pure automotive passion.

Our crew took over the scenic grounds of Marella & Company Fine Jewels, transforming it into the ultimate pit stop for car lovers. Under our spacious tent, guests kicked back with a front-row view of the cruising action — engines rumbling, tires screeching, and the unmistakable smell of high-octane fuel filling the air as thousands of classic, custom, and modern performance machines roared down Woodward.

Fueling the fun, we had food tents stocked with crowd favorites, shaded seating to escape the summer sun, and even our own private VIP porta-potty (because true comfort counts when you’re spending all day on the blacktop!).

Several Michigan State University students joined the festivities, chatting with SPE members about cutting-edge materials, future car design, and, of course, which muscle car had the best exhaust note. Between the roaring engines and the thumping playlist that kept the energy up all afternoon, it was the perfect blend of networking, nostalgia, and pure car culture.

A few of our own members even rolled in their vintage showstoppers, showing off polished chrome and pristine paint that turned heads as fast as a turbocharger spooling up. Every kind of ride was there — from resto-mod Camaros and roaring Corvettes to slick EV prototypes and old-school hot rods that told stories with every rev.

And here’s the best part — we’re doing it again next year! The space is already locked in, and we’re planning to make the 2026 event even bigger, louder, and faster. So mark your calendars for Saturday August 15, 2026, rally your crew, and bring your friends and family.
